Mercury Assurance Testing Reactor System (MATRS)

CORMETECH's Mercury Assurance Testing Reactor System (MATRS) is a state-of-the-art micro-reactor used for parametric studies of both fresh and deactivated catalyst. The MATRS permits measurements of Hg oxidation, DeNOx, and SO₂ oxidation performance. The reactor is a fully automated and continuous system capable of injecting a wide variety of gaseous and aqueous species and measuring DeNOx, SO₂ oxidation, and Hg0 oxidation. The MATRS enables the reactor to quickly test a large number of parameters on an automated basis, which is important because of the large number of factors that affect Hg0 oxidation.
